Is a c-section a “natural” birth (at least as far as the constitution is concerned)?
Here’s a fascinating question for pregnant moms with a planned Caesarean section: Do the words “natural born” define presidential eligibility in the U.S. Constitution preclude a baby born of a c-section to eventually become president of the United States?
While some lawyers may argue over what “natural” means, it’s hard to imagine the framers’ intent wasn’t the opposite of “native.” At the same time, we’ve recently seen a long debate of a sitting President’s nationality despite birth certificate evidence.
For further debate, take a look at this article on Quora:
Can a person born by Caesarean section become president of the USA?
This “issue” is meant to be thought-provoking and a little tongue-in-cheek.
Would this issue change your opinions about an elective c-section? Would it make you try harder to avoid an elective c-section? Do you hope your baby becomes President, or at least has the possibility of becoming President? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook.

Csection IS normal — just because the baby did not come thru the birth canal for whatever reason it should still be classed as NATURAL BIRTH. WHAT ABOUT BEING BORN IN THE US AND NOT ANOTHER COUNTRY???
OBAMA BECAME PRESIDENT !!!! WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT BIRTH CANAL BIRTH OR BEING BORN
IN THE USA —
