Actress Kirsten Dunst announced in the July issue of Marie Claire UK that she’s ready for her life’s next chapter.
The 35-year-old has been working in Hollywood consistently since the age of 3, debuting in a Woody Allen film as a toddler. She’s starred in movies such as Spiderman, The Virgin Suicides, and Marie Antoinette, among many, many others.
Now, Dunst, who’s engaged to her Fargo co-star, Jesse Plemons, is looking ahead to starting a family. As she told Marie Claire, “it’s time to have babies and chill.”
“I wasn’t one of those ‘I need a baby!’ people until my goddaughter was born,” Dunst shared. “I love her so much. That love is just like… you can’t experience that unless you have a kid. I put her to bed last night and she woke up this morning and said to her mom, ‘Where’s Kiki?’ I just love that love. That’s what I want.”
Taking the plunge into parenthood is a big step for anyone—and we’d wager it’s especially tough to navigate when you’re in the public eye. Furthermore, if Dunst truly believes there’s something relaxing and “chill” about parenting, she just might be in for a rocky surprise. Whatever the case, we wish Dunst and Plemons the best and look forward to the happy day when they can share some big family news.
