Celebrating holidays during a pregnancy is always fun, whether it’s dressing your bump for Halloween or having an excuse for second helpings on Thanksgiving. St. Patrick’s Day is no different when it comes to fun fashion, as Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, proved over the weekend.
While she wasn’t likely indulging in green beer, Middleton and her bump were decked out in green on Sunday in Aldershot, England, where the expectant mama presented the traditional shamrock sprigs at the Irish Guards St Patrick’s Day Parade at Mons Barracks.
She looked prim and proper in her stylish maternity clothes, wearing a chic knee-length green coat with an A-line skirt, a black shirt underneath, black tights, black heels and a cute black hat with a floral embellishment. For a bit of extra flair, the radiant brunette pinned a gold shamrock brooch on the shoulder of her coat.
Middleton referenced the baby’s gender during the ceremony while speaking to guardsman Lee Wheeler.
“I asked her do you know if it’s a girl or a boy and she said not yet,” Wheeler said, according to People magazine. “She said ‘I’d like to have a boy and William would like a girl.’ I asked her if she had any names and she said no.”
Looks like we may have to wait until July to find out!
