Actress and former model Jaime King made headlines on May 3 when she announced that she's pregnant with her first child!
The "Hart of Dixie" star, who has previously appeared in such films as "Pearl Harbor," "Sin City" and "My Bloody Valentine 3D," is expecting the arrival of her little guy or gal later on this year.
King, 34, and her hubby, filmmaker Kyle Newman, 37, were married in 2007 at Greystone Park and Manor, which is where they had their first date and were later engaged.
'I'll never forget it. Kyle and I went to Greystone Park and he got me Pinkberry," King told Us Weekly magazine. "He had been talking about this yogurt and I was like, 'Why does this guy love yogurt so much?'"
For King, the news of her pregnancy brings the actress' happy ending full circle. Rising to fame as a teenage model in the early 1990s, King began working with Company Model Management and quickly epitomized the "heroin-chic" look that was en vogue at the time.
However, her early success was blighted by much-publicized personal struggles – including the loss of her partner, Davide Sorrenti, at age 20. Yet King tapped into her inner well of resiliency and was able to overcome those challenges. With a baby on the way and a long future in Hollywood ahead of her, King's practically at the top of the world!
