Every pool or beach trip, I weigh my options: I can either let my daughter swim underwater sans goggles—only to have her complain about the pool water in her eyes—or I can wage a battle of wills. Every trip we argue about the merits of goggles and the great discomfort they bring. This same old song and dance is enough to put a damper on a swim day.
So when I had the opportunity to test-drive Giggly Goggles from Daph Daph ($25), I jumped at the chance.
And boy, am I glad I did. These have revolutionized our swimming experience. Not only are they darling and different, but they’re also supremely comfortable. Purchase these for your kid and you can say goodbye to those deep red grooves traditional models typically leave around the eyes.
Giggly Goggles have a mask design that’s made of soft neoprene. The designs are pretty whimsical too, encouraging your child to dress up as a super hero, princess, or cat, among others.

When it comes to performance, how do these compare to traditional goggles? They’re on par. The lenses don’t fog up under water and they offer UV protection to keep little ones safer in the sun. At their most basic, Giggly Goggles keep the eye area dry while under water. Lastly, the construction is forgiving and stretches generously to allow children to slip these on and off without a parent’s help.
As we approach the dog days of summer, and spend more of these hot and muggy days poolside, I’m grateful for coming across this brand. These goggles have my little one’s approval, and rest assured, she sets the bar pretty high.
