Singer and actress Hilary Duff is expecting a baby boy with her husband, professional hockey player Mike Comrie, reports People magazine. The 24-year-old, who recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, told the talk show host that her intuition about the baby’s sex was right all along.
“I had a feeling it was a boy the whole time,” she confessed to DeGeneres.
The road to pregnancy has been a long one for Duff, who’s had a number of false alarms since she said “I do” to the 30-year-old athlete. The couple, who dated for three years before they married, exchanged vows in August of last year during a romantic and intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California,
“My husband makes this joke that I think I’m pregnant like 12 times a year,” Duff said on the show.
So when the real thing finally happened, Duff and Comrie were overjoyed. “We were just a mess and started crying,” she said on the program. “It was really exciting!”
The young couple will become parents next year. Congrats!
